Lamu Programmes & Itineraries

Lamu has been spared the disruption of its society which so often follows on the impact of western influences. It adheres on its old way of life.

It looks out over the Indian Ocean, on which sailed the ships carrying the goods they traded, profiting from the fortunate alteration in the monsoon winds.

The Swalihina is a traditional dhow, restored and adapted to our special use. Operated by an experienced crew it may carry 20-30 passengers on sundowners, half day and full day trips.
All trips are subject to weather conditions and may vary according to the Captain.
